1 Ultimate Trick that will Turn your Dreams into Reality

turn your dreams into reality

I’ve always been amazed by the concept of turning dreams into reality. How you take the invisible and make it visible. How you take what you dreamed it out and make it happen.

I wondered many times what made the difference between those who made their dreams come true and those who didn’t.

And I think that it all comes down to belief.

Let me explain myself with the following drawing.

turn your dream intro realityIf you don’t believe in the goal you set for yourself here is what happens:

  1. You tap into few potential in yourself
  2. You take little actions
  3. You get bad results
  4. Your bad results strengthen your beliefs.

To understand this process, I am going to give you an example:

Let’s say you’re not sporty at all. One day I come to you and ask you to run the marathon of New York  that takes place in 2 weeks and I want you to finish it (goal). You believe it’s impossible but accept.

Here is what’s going to happens:

As you know you need some training, you’ll run 4 times/week for 2 weeks using 60% of your potential.

You believe that finishing this marathon is impossible so why wasting all your energy anyway?  As  result, you will use 60% of your potential and take 60% of action (you could have run 7 times/week instead of 4).

D-Day, you will keep telling yourself the same thing while running:

It’s impossible, it’s impossible…I’m not going to make it

And after a few kilometers as you feel tired, you will give up the race .

You will then come to me and say:

You see I knew it was impossible!(belief strengthened).

So why did I give you this example?

Well it’s because I want you to understand that what determines success is how bad you believe in what you want to accomplish.

If you are 100% certain of what you can achieve, you will automatically use 100% of your potential, take all the action needed to succeed, which will give you great results, which will reinforce the belief that you can achieve what you want.

Now your question is probably:

How can I change my belief? If I deeply believe in my goal I will take the maximum of my potential, I will take massive action and will get staggering results.

Here is the secret:

To believe in a goal you need to imagine the results as if they had already happened.

This means that when you set a goal, if you want to believe in it and get the result you want, you need to consistently think of the result. Thinking of the result allows you to fuel the energy you need to succeed.

So if you want to be financially independent, you need every single day to picture accurately the results of being financially independent. How would it look like? What would you do?

If you manage to associate a lot of pleasure to the results you want to get, you will do whatever it takes to make it real.

Picturing the result is also an excellent way to keep going during hard time.

You’ll face difficulties and demotivation on the road to success. Thinking of the result will give you the fuel to follow through and will remind you of why you started.

    Hi Simon,

As a life coach I can only agree with what you’re saying. Belief is everything and the root of all success or lack there of. Such beliefs are deep down into our subconscious mind and as long as it’s there it will have the same effects on our lives.

    Hi Sylviane,

Thank you so much for your comment! That’s right belief is the root of all success as you mentioned. I also think that if you combine belief with the power of habits you get amazing results. If every day you implement one thing in your life to reach your goal you can get a great momentum in the process.

Fantastic article! I agree 100% that believing in yourself and your goal makes all the difference.

I’ve taken it a step further lately and realized that for some of my goals, wanting it isn’t enough. Everyone “wants” to be financially independent, or rich, or successful. But when you say “I’m going to succeed. I’m going to keep pushing forward and will not stop until I achieve these goals”, that’s a lot different.

That’s when you’re going to succeed. Not when you want it, but when you need it and commit to doing whatever it takes to get it.

I retweeted this article to my twitter followers too. I enjoyed this article a lot! ty.

Thank you so much for your comment and for your RT that’s much appreciated!
I agree, wishing is not enough, taking action and pushing yourself everyday is necessary. That’s the reason I love this quote that say “work more and you will become luckier”.

I agree with your principles. If you don’t have a vision of already attaining your desired result, you’ll get no where. Nice post!

    Hi Simon!
Loved this one! Belief is what keeps my momentum. Belief with the power of habits giving amazing results; I concur. I do exactly that! I realized when I do; I feel productive. Even if it’s baby steps towards my goal; It keeps the dream alive! Belief is like a car! Gets you where you wanna go as long as you maintain it and fill it with fuel. Thank you for the validation!

    Hi Simon,
Yes, I too loved this article. There’s something deep and rich about it and a lot of what we become lies with us as individuals. I love the statement “To believe in a goal you need to imagine the results as if they had already happened”. This is like saying, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet realized”. The Sixth sense!

Thanks and I’m really feasting on this. Be blessed!
